I've seen this PDF being passed around on various forums which asserts that Obama is using covert hypnosis skills in his speeches. (I kinda go well duuh these days, what's NOT hypnotic nowadays?) But... to the point: Here's a PDF to chew on.
I've read it and what it says in a very backhanded way is "Obama is a REALLY good communicator."
The paper is oozing Obama hating... almost to the point of be laughable.
If you take the propaganda out of it I would say that yes Obama does use some very effective communication techniques, just as well as Ronald Regan, John Kennedy or Adolf Hitler.
I say download it, read it, learn from it and take it with a grain of salt.
Well said. With Bush I almost suspected it was some form of confusion stuff going on. At least Obama can talk well. It would be absolutely ridiculous to try to limit stuff like this. It would be like denying someone from going to war because he was too good a shot. Excuse me sir, you need to be at least this incompetant to participate, or else it wouldn't be fair...
I think politics anyway is beginning to look more and more like the idol contests, so the whole downfall of democracy scare is a bit ridiculous. I bet half the people don't even have a clue about what the different candidates policies are anyway. Just be the guy with the smile who promises what they want, or else tells your target market what they want to hear.
I am inclined to believe he was or is using something. Two people I know who were not really Obama supporters went to one of his speaches and came back diehard fanatics. I dont personally care what they believe, it just got old hearing about how wonderfull Obama is.
btw. this is not new. Waaay back in the day, when only the clergy and nobility or the mega wealthy were able to get an education, part of what they learned was rhetoric. A big part of rhetoric is how to make powerful speaches.
